The Renowned Ecuadorian Ceramist and Artist, welcomes visitors to his Workshop – Gallery
Eduardo Vega, ceramist, designer and creative genius, was one of the few Latin American artists of the 60’s with the privilege of studying Fine Arts in Europe. Upon his return to Ecuador, he made his first ceramic mural “País del Dorado” (Country of El Dorado), designed for the “El Dorado” Hotel in Cuenca. In the months and years to follow, his works of art would inhabit important public and private buildings and monuments across the country.
At the beginning of the 70’s, after establishing a small workshop, Vega became the co-founder, designer and President of “Artesa”, a factory of artistic and utilitarian ceramic. In 1998, Vega left the factory to create his own workshop and gallery: E. Vega Galería Taller.
